Titanium Hydride (TiH₂) powder (Micron powder and submicrons)

Titanium Hydride (TiH₂) powder is a high-purity, fine grey powder widely used in powder metallurgy, foamed metals, metal injection molding (MIM), and pyrotechnic applications. Known for its high hydrogen content (approx. 4.0–4.3%) and thermal decomposition around 400–500 °C, TiH₂ powder serves as a key material in hydrogen storage research and the production of titanium metal powders. Available in various particle sizes, including -100 mesh and -325 mesh, this titanium-based powder is ideal for additive manufacturing and sintering processes.

Princeton Powder is a leading supplier of  Titanium refractory ceramic powder. Titanium powders including Titanium Carbide TiC Powder, Titanium Nitride Powder, and Titanium disilicide TiSi2 Powder are for sale in a competitive price.

Description of Titanium Dihydride Powder

Titanium Hydride (TiH₂) powder is a grey to black fine powder with a typical purity of ≥99% and a hydrogen content of approximately 4.0–4.3 wt%. TiH₂ is widely used for metal-ceramic sealing and as a titanium source in alloy powder production for powder metallurgy. It also serves as a welding additive and a catalyst in polymerization reactions. Additionally, it finds applications in anti-corrosion coatings, high-performance sputtering targets, and conductive electronic pastes.

Influence of processing parameters on dehydrogenation of TiH2 in the preparation of Ti–Nb: A review

Abstract: Titanium hydride (TiH2) has recently received a lot of attention due to its densification, oxidation levels, and material costs. Powder metallurgy combined with mechanical alloying has become an attractive route for producing near-net shape components of Ti-based alloys, mainly where porosity control and better homogeneity are required. This review aims to create a platform for investigating the feasibility of producing Ti from TiH2 via a dehydrogenation process. The dehydrogenation behaviour of TiH2 is affected by variables such as sintering condition, alloying element, and particle size. The review revealed that TiH2 decomposition occurs at various temperatures (400 °C to 800 °C), resulting in the formation of several sequences of phases
